The heart of The Daily is feeding community life. The collective of people behind The Daily are passionate about seeing people connect with each other, develop relationships and ‘do good’ in our community.

We believe the best way to achieve personal development is doing it everyday, with real people and real support. This is true no matter where you are on your journey.

We want to be part of people’s journey in life. We could just develop a cafe and make money, but where would be the fun in that? We want more, we want to help the community to develop and grow. Te Puke is great – the best little town around – but collectively we can make it even better.

Turning Coffee into Water. We are very excited to be partnering with Excelso. A coffee distributor with a similar heart to ours in terms of doing great things in our community. They do an organic and Fair Trade coffee blend called through the Good Trust. This coffee not only tastes amazing, but is a channel to building wells and providing fresh water for communities in Cambodia.

How you may ask? The good trust is a 100% charity. This means that 100% of all profit/ money donated goes to the project that it is supporting. It works out like this. You buy ONE coffee from us, and by doing so, you provide fresh water for one person for a whole week in Cambodia. How cool is that!? Your daily treat can make a difference in someone’s life for a whole week. Imagine how much good we can do together!

We are using a European concept at The Daily. Instead of having 30 different menu items, we will have much less, and offer 3 fabulous fresh meals to choose from daily – good wholesome food, reasonably priced and changing according to the seasons.

Our focus will be on great service and the best food. With an ever changing menu, you can try different things every time you come in or you can choose from a select range of fresh salads, freshly made juices, something sweet or even a freshly made pie (we have to have one of these, we are in NZ).

We value our environment and therefore focus on local produce and minimum waste. We also offer catering for meetings, meet-ups or special days and occasions. Give us a call to design a menu of your choice.

The Search Party Charitable Trust

The Daily is owned by The Search Party Charitable Trust, a registered charity (CC52017). This means we are not here for our own gain. Our focus is completely on the Te Puke community. All profits from the café and catering goes back to the local community.
Our strong focus is on breaking the poverty cycle and making our community even better than it is now. We are looking forward to seeing and serving you at The Daily. We have a large café area, a large outdoor area and a separate meeting room for businesses to hire. This room is available for other local charities to use free of charge. Our focus is on serving Te Puke and promoting goodness to grow here.

At Fairhaven School we used The Daily Cafe for catering our parent teacher interviews dinner, and I have sampled items from their menu on many occasions. The food is always absolutely divine. Fresh, healthy and generous in portion size. The presentation of the food is always outstanding and it tastes amazing. I would highly recommend The Daily Cafe to everyone. Vicki Hiini

We used The Daily – Goodness Within Catering Service for our AGM lunch and afternoon tea. We told them to ‘surprise us’ with their culinary delights – and surprise they did! They were fantastic to deal with – very efficient, and was happy to cater for any special needs that we required. Their presentation of the food on the day was outstanding, and as we are a kiwifruit organisation, they had created a theme around kiwifruit – both in the food and the table decorations. All round, this was a great experience for us, and have no hesitation in recommending this catering service. Baygold Group

Thanks for an amazing spread for our AGM. The food was fresh, healthy, unique and delicious. We will definitely be using The Daily in future. Jolene, President Playcentre
